Yes please send me the numbers of the folks who build Spit race engines.
About pistons, as far as I know, the only forged pistons for the Spit I
have been able to find are the Venolia ones in the USA. Because of the price
I only want one set for my fast motor. I can get Hepolites for the Spit
for $32 each. So I will put these in my 2nd motor. Most people do not
want to pay $400 for a set of pistons, whereas $130 for a set of very good
cast pistons is a great deal, better than any I have found in the USA.
I have a friend who has taken the head back to the UK with him and my father
will bring it back for me so no shipping cost.
TRiumph Tune are going to do the head mods at a cost of about $500. They can
also supply a cam grind compatible with their head mods and my carb.
However, because I am building a street motor, I'm still wondering if the
cam is too radicle (290 total duration and .301 lift ). I'll get more lift
than this as I'm using roller rockers too.
