For what it is worth mine is earthed under one of the bolts that holds the
petrol tank strap to the floor of the luggage compartment.

As I said before my car is far from original but the legnth of the wire
leads me to belive that this is correct. I know where it is because
taking the blasted petrol tank out of the car to try to stop it from
leaking is one of my most often preformed tasks!
