Well I was kind-a-right about hills. Some of you may remember a while
back I asked if TRs hate hills, as inclines seemed to make my carbs leak
massive quantities of fuel. Well, last night I found out why my TR4A
was aggravated by hills. The only thing standing in my way from driving
my TR was leaky carbs. I took off the bottom bowl last night and
noticed the floats were not hanging properly. The pin that the floats
pivot on slid aside and the floats were hanging on one of the two pivot
points. I wasn't sure if I did this or if it was that way already,
which would explain a lot. Well, I then very carefully examined the
situation and the other carb. Sure enough, the PO put the pin in
backwards and hence the carb body would not hold the pin in place. I
reversed the pins, drove, drove, and drove some more. Yahoo! Well, this
is the first real #^$%-up I've found that the PO did.

Time to smog, register, insure, and drive even more!
