Regarding the Colourtune:

Has anyone used these devices with twin carbs (I have twin HIF6's on a Rover V8
3500). It seems to me that the colourtune will just read the _average_ of the
two carbs, thus not necessarily ensuring each carb is correct ie one lean, one
rich.......?)

Still on carbs:

The PO fitted a fuel pressure regulator/filter to my vehicle with brand name
'Filter King'. Anyone tell me what pressure I should adjust it to (there is no
return pipe to the tank)?

Cheers,
Steve.

One other thing I didn't mention- This car has a fresh, stiff suspension,
which helps keep the tyres out of the bodywork. There was another MGB at
the local LBC auto-cross with a set of 185/70 14's and a very soft, sloppy
suspension which was activly rubbing rubber off the inside of the fender
wells. So, unless you're prepared to do everything, stick with narrower
tyres.

Subject: SLCFWSC Activities & Victor Show

The initial weather report for Sunday's show at Victor looks quite good,
which means I should be bringing Zach, the '34 PA. Look by the MG
T-series, for a two-tone red car with red primer on the bonnet (3-tone?)
tatty paint, and a turned aluminium dash, that looks sorta like a TC only
smaller and prettier. British registration CZ6385. It should have an SOL
identifier on it. Be there at 1:00 to meet other SOL'ers, looks like we'll
have several cars there, including Lotus, Triumph, Austin Healey, MG, and
???. If it does rain, look for a Teal Blue GT instead.

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
SLC Action-

Got Tilly's GT (Elmo) registered yesterday. Marrietta's old engine, which
now resides in the GT, started right up after 18 months of slumber on
Saturday, (once I got the fuel to flow) and drove out for a quick
wash-down. After topping off bouncy R-F shock, Elmo should hit the road
this afternoon.

While I was cleaning the winscreen after Zachery's first run of the
season a couple weeks ago, I found the glass somehow dropping out of
the frame, oops! The lower frame section had come free at one corner. After
59 years, the 1/8" x 5/16" brackets inside the corners were somewhat
rusted, and one decided it's time had come to part the ways. After much
fiddling with the drill press, dremmel grinder & burrs, I managed to
remove the heads from the rusted retaining screws to get the old remains
out. I still have to bend, drill, and tap new brackets. The dual hump cowl
looks good sans windscreen- anyone got a spare set of Brooklands screens
they want to part with?
