I've grown jealous hearing about all the cross-flow heads available
for A-series engines, and so forth. Was there ever any such item
available for the Spitfire, especially the 1500 block? (I know, it's
only got 3 main bearings, etc., etc.) OHC would be the best!
It's hard owning a car that's always been a `poor relation.' *Sigh*
One possibility of reducing traffic (although it seems that conscientious use
has helped the last few days) is for the gathering-and-posting machine to
collect
messages and post them only once a day, for example. This would have the
undesirable
effect of slowing down exchanges and eliminating emergency last-minute advice
from
vigilant netters, but would also eliminate `race conditions.' I'd prefer
something
like that to becoming a newsgroup (newsfroup).
