I was talking with Paul Kile, who is one of those gurus that
knows all sorts of obscure trivia about british cars, especially
Mowogian beasts, and the possibilities are:
1) A loose exhuast Downpipe, check the 6 nuts and studs that hold
it to the manifold.
2) If it is an earlier 'B iwth the metal 3 bladed fan, check the
rubber grommets on the four fna mounting bolts.
3) Check the Carburettor heat sheild
4) On the bottom of the engine, the downpipe passes through a
circular clamp which fastens to a bracket which is bolted to
the engine and tranny. See if this mount is loose or broken.

Paul said that it is okay for me to post his number for people
to call and ask advice, so:
Paul Kile, 916-638-7084. (he's in Sacroamento)

I'll see all you No-Cal folks up at the swapmeet saturday.
  Larry
P.S. Does anyone know of a public accesible unix system in
the Sacramento area, I'd love to get Paul on this list.
