The Dunlop Chrome wheels have chrome spokes.
The Dayton Chrome wheels have stainless steel spokes.
Special order rim widths, offsets, paint colors and spoke configurations are
available for British Cars and special applications. Dayton wheels may be
ordered to include show polish (add $24), tubeless sealing (add $15) and/or
to include heavy duty hubs/spokes/nipples for vintage racing (+$35)
Wire Wheel Truing & Rebuilding Services

Basic Truing/Reconditioning
Includes hot-tank cleaning, loosening and retightening of all spokes/nipples,
minor rim and spoke straightening, splined hub-shell inspection, new protective
(of tube) tape. Painted wheel is primed and then painted with silver-gray
(original color) epoxy (semi-gloss) enamel paint. Custom colors available at
somewhat higher cost.
Chrome wheel (with 60 or fewer spokes) ****** $42.00
Painted wheel (with 60 or fewer spokes) ***** $52.00
For Jaguar XKE series II & III and Triumph Stag--add $10.00 to above prices.
For other wheels with more than 60 spokes--add $5.00 to above prices.
For 17" & larger wheels--add $5.00 to above prices.
Borrani Wire Wheels -- Reconditioned ($270-$300)
Includes rechroming of center hub, polishing of alloy rim, and spoke replacement
with polished stainless steel spokes and chrome nipples. Price range reflects
condition of rim and amount of polishing needed. Dimpled rims will cost near
the
high end of the range.
Additional charges (add to Basic Truing prices)
Spoke/nipple replacement:
Chrome/polished stainless steel--$1.75 each
(If longer than 7"--$2.25; Borrani--$2.00 each)
Plain steel (painted)--$1.25 each
(If longer than 7"--$1.65 each)
Extremely dirty or greasy wheel: $3.00
If paint does not fully strip in hot-tank: $5.00
Used (fully reconditioned) wire wheels--often available on exchange basis;

Tires
British Wire Wheel has expanded to include a limited number of sizes and
brands. It had become obvious that many wheel customers were interested in
proper mounting and balancing of new tires on their new or reconditioned
wire wheels. What was most surprising was that we could be extremely
competitive with our tire prices. We ship (via UPS) a mounted and properly
balanced tire/wheel combination by strapping cardboard over both sides of the
wheel, leaving the tread area of the tire exposed. All you've got to do is
grease the splines and pop the wheel/tire onto your car (after removing the
protective cardboard!).
