I don't know what year your Brick is but it should be an easy disconnect as
I have done it on several occasions Pugs 756

I'm trying to remove the throttle linkage cable and I'd much prefer to
re-use it -- therefore I do not want to simply cut the cable. The problem
is that the attachments at the pedal and at the carb appear to be permanent
assemblies. Has anybody been able to get disconnect their cable intact? If

so, how did they do it?

I think the factory installed it by using a metal junction that is just
forward of the firewall grommet. This junction does not appear to be
something that can be pulled or twisted apart temporarily.
