Louis,

Sikaflex is very permanent. BTW, I removed my door skins by carefully
heating the edges with a blowtorch while prying the fiberglass away from the
metal with a good paint scraper. It took time to do it carefully and not
damage the fiberglass, but it did work. However, that was with the old,
original adhesive. It would not be possible to remove that way once
attached with SikaFlex. If you can, I suggest you remove the skin and make
sure the inside of the door is rust free and primed with something like POR.
Then you can re-attach the skin with some assurance that you won't have to
remove the skin again for along time. You might replace the wiring inside
the door as well and make any repairs to the window winding mechanism while
you have the skin off as it is much easier that way. Otherwise you have to
work through the holes on the inside.

Thanks a lot for everyone's reply.

These are the suggested adhesives that have been mentioned so far:
   3m bonding adhesive (pn 8115 ?)
   3m 5200.
   Liquid Nails
Black urethane that is used for setting and mounting windshields
   SikaFlex

Would anyone know how permanent any of these adhesive are?
The future goal is to replace this panel once time and funding allow; the
panel is just that bad.
I have a paranoid vision having to go at it with hammer and chisel to pry
the old panel off.

Thanks a lot,
 Louis
