No, I do not believe that that is the case. If you are familiar with ebay, you
will see that the bid history contains the reasons for the retractions. In your
scenario, what reason would Parkdale have - why would he care what cathy10 bid?
I
believe that the person actually responsible was one who corresponded with me
privately who may have been trying to manipulate the auction as I confided in
him
the reason for my selling the car (let's just call it a distress sale).
