When you see the listing as a "Round" it has either
happened or the event has been confirmed and will
happen (therefor it can be assigned a number). Since
we use stadium parking lots our events are often
tentative depending upon how the local teams are doing
and if there is going to be a home game (in which case
we'd get bumped).

Now the series vs. season can get a little confusing
but in the SFR region (and someone will definitely
correct me if I'm wrong) in the context you presented
the words "season" and "series" are interchangeable.
There are two series in the SFR region those being the
Championship Series and the Slush Series (aptly named
as it happens later in the year when it frequently
rains on our events <grin> :-D ). In order to be
eligible for a trophy you must have competed in half
of the events >>>in that series<<<. So, if the slush
series has 6 event you must compete in at least 3 to
be eligible for a trophy. Competing in half of the
championship series is not a requirement to win in the
slush series.

As for points every 4 events your lowest score gets
dropped. So far this year there have been 6 events in
the championship series. The current points total for
a given individual is based upon the best 3 scores
from the first 4 rounds (your lowest score gets
dropped) and your scores from rounds 5 and 6. Once we
hit round 8 your lowest score from round 5, 6, 7 and 8
will be dropped. So for example here's my scores...

Round 1 110
Round 2 90
Round 3 90
Round 4 0 (I was at Whistler/Blackomb... woohoo!!!)
Round 5 160
Round 6 ??? I think 130 or 110... let's say 130 :-)

So, from rounds 1 through 4 my lowest score gets
dropped (round 4) and I have 290 points. Let's say I
wasn't skiing during round 4 (hahahahahaha) and scored
a 110. In that case one of my 90 point scores would
have been dropped and my score would be 310 points
after round 4. Back to reality... my current score
after round 6 (I think...) is 580. Let's say I score a
70 for round 7 and a 200 for round 8 (woohoo). Since
there's been another 4 events I get to drop my lowest
score from the last 4 rounds (so the 70 gets dropped).

Does that clear things up a bit?
