I know what you mean. I took one run around the course in my student's car
(a Stock-trim '01 Miata) and several in my car (a slightly CSP '91 Miata).
I didn't notice bumps so much in the '01, but in my car, with somewhere
around an inch less suspension travel, the back half of the course was
bouncing me around pretty good.

BTW, when I ran my car in Stock, the ripples in the Candlestick lot never
used to upset the car much. Yesterday I was bouncing off the rev limiter
coming out of the long sweeper at the back of the course. Not because I was
that fast (though I was pretty close), but because there was enough of a
bump to lighten the car just long enough to get the right rear tire
spinning. I definitely need a better LSD in my car!

You might try raising your ride height a bit. It's possible you're
bottoming out on some of the bumps.
