I bought one of these about a year ago. It totally works. I just
recently used it on Richards BMW to get some base lines and see were the
cars was at, then took it to a Dyno Jet to fine tune the timing and the
top end. The HomeDyno was about 5 hp off the Dyno Jet.

Very use full tool. Just need to have a place were you can do 2 gears
pulls.

Intriguing...  This could be made to work, I think...?
Very accurate RPM at every two revolutions from 1000 
RPM to redline, plus weight and gearing and air density...
I think you could calculate HP and torque from that, no? 
Accurate weight would be necessary, though.  And drag
would only be approximate, if you figured that in.
