I am really sorry that I am going to miss this event. Heck, since few people
will be there, I could have offered my services to sing the Star Spangled
Banner.

Duh, I just thought of the needed solution to reduce attendance!

There is the CSCC "Drive it..." Cal Expo event which will absorb a lot of
the Sacramento folks (too bad. 'cause we have a very AAS type course),
NASA/Marina to absorb the south bay, a PCA event at the 'Stick, Fresno at
Castle, and of course, San Diego. But we have the weather going for us, plus
we offer the chance to hear my perfect Katy Jurado imitation. Carmen Miranda
was a trick but no one bit.

How's this for optimism. There's another event in Sacramento this weekend,
never mind the Tour. My gut feeling is that people are planning on going to
Sacto, and your lack of response is a reflection of that.

Consider this a potentially good thing, because it means your turn out might
be lower than average, which means your smaller staff can probably handle
the smaller crowds, and then, hopefully, FUN RUNS FOR ALL!

I'm just guessing and hoping.

Have fun this weekend everybody!

Tony,

I'm committed to help with Tech from around noon on, am running in the 7th
Group
and had also planned to help with tear down. Since few have stepped up and
both you and Dennis have helped me out when I've been Chair I'll be there @
7:00
AM for set-up.

It's amazing how few members actually contribute more that their obligatory
work
assignment.
