I'm going to explain this all at the driver's meeting, but yes, there will be a
special tech area. I'd like to have at minimum three tech people there (work
assignment) at all times. Tech will close at 1:00, she said, typing
confidently. It can stay open longer than that, if necessary, but not to
accomodate people who aren't staying on top of things.

Tech WILL be on grid prior to the first run group.

Too many times, when tech is on grid, people stall, and we have a huge hold up
getting cars teched between run groups. In many cases, the event chairs have
ended up teching the cars, just to keep the event flowing.

In this case, it's the driver's responsibility to get his or her car teched and
on grid on time. If you don't, you will be late on grid, and your last run
won't count.

It happens before you go to grid in a special area, marked with the jack and
personnel. It will be more thorough than the on the fly tech that happens on
the grid, I'm sure.
Speaking for Katie who is not at work nor her computer today.
