Elbert Chin and I just got a pair of the fairly cheapo Motorola FR60s off
eBay. They aren't quite as small and fancy as the expensive ones, but they
were only ~$80 for a pair. Fry's, Circuit Sh*tty and other chains sell the
FR50 for about the same, but that doesn't have the added interference
eliminator codes, which supposedly give you more effective clear channels.
Other companies (cobra, audiovox) make them too, but I got the Motorolas
because they felt less fragile. Good luck!
