And one more damning observation as a "starter" - toward the end of what
looks a diagonal slalom across the lot, there is a course worker who
appears to be the starter standing with his back to the car in the narrow
area between the launch area (a straight launch by the way and not around a
90 degree corner) and the path of the car as it finishes that slalom.  If
the car had lost it on the last cone of the slalom he would have been
toast.  A lot of things point to it not being an SCCA event and there being
no Safety Steward.
