GGF yesterday was the worst surface I have ever driven on.
But there is hope. I spent considerable time sweeping with
a broom and using a blower (as did Jesus) before the first
runs. There was a heavy layer of sand, and an even heavier
layer of gravel everywhere. During the second run group
the starting area would get dirty after every three cars as
cars brought a ton of rocks from the grid and spun them
off. By the end of the fourth run group there was an
incredible build up of gravel off line and quite a bit of
gravel strewn across the line.

During the course walk I cleaned three of the worst corners
and Ben and someone else swept from the start through the
first two corners. By the end of the seventh run group there
was considerably less gravel built up on those corners and
the start was clean. The lot will be 150% better if swept.
Let's make sure the grid area is swept as well.

Ps. Some of us have already learned to stay out of the
gravel driving at Oakland.
