I think people might be missing the boat if they don't try www.priceline.com
for their Topeka hotels.
Last year, I stayed at the Candlewood Suites - bid $33 per night ... this
year, same thing ! (this is for Nationals) I've paid over $500 for 5 days
at the Plaza .. here, I'm paying a little over $200 for the whole week !!!
You click on the 2 and 2 1\2 star hotels in topeka - make your bid. Only
negative is you must enter a credit card number ... and if you're bid is
taken, you've bought it .... there's no "thinking about it" -- plus, you
don't know what hotel you're in until you've bought it ... however, there's
no bad hotels in this system.
I bought two nights, again sight unseen for the Solotime in August ...
landed at the Comfort Inn on Wannamaker ... total for two nites, $79 ...
I'm telling ya .... this is at least worth a try.
