That depends on the surface. Rust can be cleaned off of chrome with some steel 
wool, use a fine wool to keep from scratching them, I use it on the inside of 
my chrome stock wheels, since I don't really care if the inside is scratched a 
little. If they are painted then steel wool would be good for getting all the 
road gunk off of them, it will take a lot of elbow grease though.

Got some rims for my autox tires; but they are really dirty, especially the
backside.  Anyone got any  suggestions on the best way to clean them?
