Oil change before or after Autox? (newbie)

I'm coming up on my car's first oil change, in fact it will probably be 
time the same weekend as my first autocross.  Should I get the oil 
changed before or after the event?  I will have about 5,000 miles on the 
car, and there has been no or negligable oil consumption thus far.  Also, 
it is a turbo (oil-cooled).

Thanks in advance.  I'm looking forward to participating in and learning 
more about autoxing and have lots of questions, so if you have any good 
advice for a newbie, I look forward to reading it.
