     I'm no expert on the question of whether road racers or aotocrossers are
better drivers but not being an expert hasn't stopped me from voicing an
opinion when the spirit moves me.
     I have zero experience road racing, a tiny bit of oval track experience
and tons of autox experience. 
     I'd just say that autoxers have a better chance of living long enough to
become good, so maybe on average they are a little better.
     So much depends on what the meaning of the word "is" is.
