That's what I do on my Series II.  I built the roll bar myself, so I wasn't 
going to chime in in case the Autopower one is different.  I modified the 
side covers, so they don't really latch in, they just sit there, when 
closed.  The back panel is the pain for me; I can only open it halfway at 
most.
