Absolutely not.

The meshing of ring and pinion are a very complex interface,
and as such rings and pinions are made for thier specific counterpart.
That is if the ring is for a 3.888, then you cant mix it with a
4.22, or else one or the other will break in less than one
ring revolution.
Even if the pinion has the same number of teeth, the hipoid ramp angles
will be different (by 38/35 pitch), and the teeth will bind.
