Marty, as I'm in the UK, I don't have experience of Advance Autowire. That
said, fitting a relay to
your heallight circuit is an excellent idea. Many headlight column switches are
getting very ancient
and with the availability of brighter bulbs or those with higher wattage, the
load on the dim/dip
switch becomes greater. Both my Triumph saloons with four headlights as
standard have had relays
fitted since I managed to burn out three switch sets. With the relays in place
- and possibly
heavier cable to take extra power if you go down the high wattage route -
you'll be a lot safer at
night.
