John C.---There are marks on the cam sprocket and crank sprocket that
should line up. One can get very close, if not ideal timing by using
these marks. Sometimes for the ultimate performance, engine builders
will go for the off-set key, or eccentric bushings for the cam sprocket.

I was wondering how cam indexing was done on the TR6? On some cars, I
have heard that offset keys were used on the cam or crankshaft. I have
seen the vernier cam sprokets, but they seem very expensive.
