Hi,

While not very "comforting" I can say that I see this black crud in both
my TR6's. I wind up using my mighty-vac to suck all the fluid out of the
MC reservoir and cleaning the crap up with absorbent towels.

I then fill and bleed the entire system. I do this every couple of years
_max_. I have to do it because many times the folks that do "tech" at
autocrosses want to fail me because of the goo. Of course, most of these
folks drive cars with ABS where the crud actually matters! :-)

I think that the black stuff is corrosion from the MC bore, but I could be
wrong there because I know I have a sleeved MC on one of the cars... I
just can't recall which one! But I get the black stuff in both TR6's. At
any rate, it's "normal" to see the crud in my experience (30 plus years
with TR6's).

Note: you might try seeing if the cruft sticks to a magnet. This might
point you toward the source...
