Hi group --
this caught my eye; we'd discussed it a while back in my jaguar
group. I'll try to dig out the relevant info.. but... You can buy
white/green/red/blue/amber LED's at radio shack. These only take
1.5 or so volts.. 12 and they're gone... but.. there's always a but,
if you're handy with a soldering gun,. you can wire a 2700 ohm
resister in series with the diode; this will reduce the voltage and
a jag-man said he's done it and they work... messy, but hey, it's
under the dash....

: Along with Jim Tabor I am also interested in learning if anyone on
the list has used LED dash lights and if so whether or not they
recommend replacing the standard bulbs with LEDs. The current ones
are nearly useless, even after I bypassed the rheostat to give them
the full 12 volts all of the time. At nearly $10 each they are 10
times the cost of a standard bulb and if you do the entire dash you
need 12 bulbs. I'm a little reluctant to spend $114 plus shipping
unless they provide a substantial improvement over the standard
ones.

: A while back there was some talk of ordering LED dash lights.
: Did anyone ever get around to ordering any?
