Group, I am looking for a TR6 (I'm a neophyte but trying to learn as much as
possible!) and would love to know if anyone has anything to add to this list
I have sent to some TR6 sellers. This list serves as a pre-qualification to
determine if I should go look at the car(s)...thanks in advance for the
advice.
> 1. Rust:

> - One of the key places for rust is where the rear trailing arms

> 3. Interior:

> - What condition are both the seats in (scale of 1-10 per seat)?

> - What condition is the dash in (1-10)?

> - All gauges work (if not, which one's don't work)?

> 4. Engine, Transmission, Clutch, and Brakes:

> - How is the clutch (any slipping, grabbiness, or noises)?

> - How is the transmission (any grinding, noises)?

> - How are the U-joints and rear differential (translation: any
> thunks or clunks when you engage the clutch)?

> - How often do you have to add oil (is there a leak)?

> - Any smoke (if so, is it blue or white)?
>
> - How is the exhaust system?
>
> - How are the brakes (rotors. calipers, redone? when?)?
>
> - Does the car have overdrive?

> 5. Electrical:
>
> - How are the lights, turn signals, back up lights, etc?
>
> - Any electrical problems under your watch to speak of?
>
> - Do all lights on the dash work properly?
