Assuming you have all the hardware, the top installation is a piece of cake -
at least when compared to a TR3. The windscreen top or header has two holes
near the existing soft top latch holes. these unsued holes are covered by
vinyl on the bottom of the header. Poke a hole in the vinyl to allow bolt
passage to secure the front of the top. Behing the door the top has a bolt
that goes into a tube nut thing with a loopy hole (tech term) in the end. This
loopy thing goes on the top stud that secure the soft top frame. The bolt into
the tube nut draws the top down. Remove the steel plate frame that secures the
rear of the soft top. The hard top has two large nut affairs under the back
window. The 1/4 bolts from the top frame go through these nuts and hold the
back down. And there you is! Hope this is of some help, it's easier to
visualize than to explain.
