Glenn and company - thanks for the suggestions I've saved your emails. Went
to AutoZone this morning and the alternator tested out fine. What I can put
together is the four year old battery wasn't holding a charge and after
replacing it I was paying a heck of a lot more attention the the voltage
gauge and was thinking there was still a problem do the the needle taking
time to climb up to the 14.5 position. Good news is I have several emails
to help me through any future alternator problems and have saved some $$ not
having to replace it.
