Thanks for the info!
Guess that means I can replace my hoses now. Have a '70 TR-6 I bought new on 
Oct 70 - still has the original hoses on it. Should probably quit tempting 
fate.

Alternators - try checking the fan belt, may be slipping and show voltage drop 
at idle.
