Just to put my two cents in.  I installed the ABS glove box and love it.  I
think the appearance of my ratty original glove box scared me into buying
the plastic one.
I guess the best thing about it is that I will  never have to worry about it
again.  I'm pretty rough on what I throw into my glove box, ratchets, wire
brushes, metal files etc.
But if you are looking for originality then that's another matter.
