Just an update on the two California bills that would have changed the smog
exemption status of old cars:
SB1172 has been completely re-written/revised and now concerns itself with
Municipally owned utilty plants.
SB800 has been revised and now seeks to create a separate "Collector Car"
vehicle category in California. This category would apply to vehicles more
than 25 years old that are not used as primary transportation and these
vehicles would be exempt from smog tests.
