White smoke sounds like coolant. Might want to run a compression check to see if the head gasket is blown. Best regards, Fred Schroeder Denison, TX SRL311-13359 TDROC Reg e-mail sitsinwest@texoma.net

An easy way to tell whether the smoke you are seeing is white or blue (water or oil) is to hold a mirror or piece of glass up at the tail pipe. You will get some condensation on the glass/mirror. If

I have a '67 1600, and everytime I let it sit a little, and then start it lots of whitish, gray smoke billow out of my exhaust. I'm not sure if it is just the water condensation, but I doesn't smell

A general guess. Normally oil produces black smoke and water will produce white smoke. My guess is that you have coolant leaking in from somewhere (head gasket). When the car is warm then the smoke

Hi Hoon, Several of us saw you drive away after the last BADROC cruise. To us the smoke looked bluish. WHich means its oil. I would guess that oil is dripping down into the cylinder through the valve

Take a mirror and hold it near the exhaust after letting it idle and then have someone gun it a bit. Then rub your fingers on the mirror. If it's oil you'll know right away when you smear the mirror

I agree with Dan, it sounds like a classic example of bad valve seals. As the engine warms, the seals swell, no longer allowing oil to run past into the combustion chamber. I'm not familiar with the
