John, you should get a copy of the Horst Schach book "The Complete M.G. TD Restoration Manual. In spite of the name its not complete but it does have a lot of good info. You can get a copy from britb

Be aware of the thread pitches on the engine, tramsmission, and possibly the differential, and a few other places. The fasteners have metric threads but Whitworth or BA wrench sizes for the heads. I
