Susan, first a simple solution. Check the hose between the master and slave cylinders. If if is soft or wet then replace it. Then adjust everything again. TRF has the hose, as do the other 2 of "the

Susan, by now you must have the answer, but I'd bet that you have a broken throwout bearing fork pin. The cross shaft moves, but the fork slips on the shaft resulting in less throwout bearing motion
