I've narrowed down the trouble to rust in the tank! With a long magnetic tool I'm picking up rust every time I go fishing from the top of the tank. My plan is to drain the tank and NOT pull it out.

if you really have rust in the tank, i'm not sure how you can correct without pulling and coating the insides or replacing alltogether. sounds like you're delaying the inevitable.....my 2 cents. Tom

I had nothing but trouble from very fine rust in the tank. It wasn't just in the tank but clogging the short metal line from the tank output. I removed and cleared that, but it had clogged the first

OK . . . I pulled the gas tank today and it's in the shop. I don't know what else more I can do if this fix doesn't correct the problem. I'll let you guys know in about a week. Al Graffam 74 CT ps .
