I've narrowed down the trouble to rust in the tank! With a long magnetic
tool I'm picking up rust every time I go fishing from the top of the
tank. My plan is to drain the tank and NOT pull it out. I hope to clear
it out this way.
Has anyone done this before? It's been 30 years since this tank was
probably drained out. I PBBlastered the nut underneath and pray it
doesn't break the pipe when I loosen it.
I also want to buy a new muffler. I noticed that Moss is NA on mufflers
but VB has them listed for sale. What gives here? How about TRF? It's
late so I can't call right them right now.
Thanks to all who gave me places to go on the car. I am blessed that I
did NOT invest much money in this pursuit . . . one fuel pump and a
spark plug wire set. About $45.
