While flushing the brake lines on my 1976 MG Midget I noticed a drip from the pressure failure switch in the pressure warning assembly. I added a little air pressure and a pin hole stream of alcohol

I don't believe the switches themselves are sealed against leakage. I had a fluid leak from the switch after reinstalling it following a restoration of my '73 Midget, so I replaced it with a new swit

Moss sells a rebuild kit for the assembly as well as the switch itself. They carry the same description, but the cheap one is the kit (o-rings and seals) and the expensive one is the switch. They app

Guess I should have checked the Moss catalog before saying they didn't have a rebuild kit. I went through this a little over a year ago, and was amazed to discover they DIDN'T have a rebuild kit, but

I am very interested in this answer. I am restoring my '72 Midget and this past weekend, after replacing my master cylinder and bleeding the brakes, brake fluid comes flowing out of this switch. It

Moss does have a rebuild kit for this, basically it's just the O rings. My catalog shows the new brass piece as being $483 -- that's absurd when you consider what's involved with manufacturing that

Would you happen to have the Moss part numbers? I've replaced the switch in mine with a bolt until I could locate the proper o-rings..... Rich

You can get a bolt with a standard thread to replace the warning switch. This is what I did when the new switch I installed didn't stop the leak, and I didn't want to tear into the assembly again. T

Looking in my Moss catalog, it appears that the rebuild kit is 181-995. The switch is 181-955. The valve is 141-710 (the high $ item - 349.95 @ Moss). Don Would you happen to have the Moss part numb

I found an ordinary threaded pipe plug fits the pressure switch hole just fine. I just took the switch and found a match. The Moss kit also includes new seals, I believe. Tom Zuchowski '61 Bugeye Cle
