I don't think that latex is "bad", but it is not the best thing for working on machinery. I use the blue Nitrile gloves that I get from my local NAPA affiliate, and they are pretty much unaffected by

Latex is a true allergy, which means some people are allergic and some are not. I certainly wouldn't put being allergic to latex in the same category with cancer, so I'd say using gloves of any sort

I know, I know, I am the proverbial broken record on solvents, but the Super Agitene contains lanolin which puts an almost undetectable coating on the part so the part won't rust the minute you take
