I've had this problem before. I couldn't remove the stud at all, it was rusted in there absolutely solid. I ended up replacing the manifold with a second-hand one from TRGB for not-a-lot of money. T

How about stainless steel nuts? Won't rust. Also antiseeze compound to allow it to come off next time. I'd rather have a loose nut, than one I can't remove. PS again.
