Pro's - less mass means less inertia so the mass can be accelerated more Con's - less mass means less flywheel effect so it's not as smooth. My lightened flywheel weighs 15.5 lbs vs 22 for the stock

Yeah, I'd say 6 lb is too light for street use, and yes, I did it for a couple of years. Sure grabbed revs in a hurry, but it was a nightmare getting started on a hill. My current flywheel is a Tilto
