something I didn't mention.... when you finished tearing up your pretty floor there is an epoxy based floor patch what is easy to work with and holds up better than a scabbed over concrete patch.. jo

masonry saw? I've seen city crews saw through roads here with what looks to be a circular saw, and I've seen masonry blades for sale for these saws, you might try that. scott
