Having someone apply downward pressure on the bonnet top, above the latch, should release some tension from the latch pin and allow your method the leverage to work. Best of luck, David Hill '72 BGT

There are several possible problems, but the one that comes to mind is that the bonnet is too far closed, and the probe is caught on the framework below the latch assembly. When this happens on my A
