Help, List!
Due to an igno-sec (as when you're slamming the car door and see your keys
in the ignition an instant before the door slams and locks) the other
evening, the bonnet of my MGA is locked tight as a drum. I put it back on
after some major engine work, and the first time I closed it it stayed that
way.
I've looped a wire around the one that goes across the front from the
bell crank to the latch, and I've pulled on it and pushed from the other
side and I cannot for the life of me get the latch to give up and turn the
latch pin loose. I realize this has been discussed, but I've been unable to
get into the archives and I'm now becoming generally frazzled out of sheer
frustration. About as maddening a problem as I've encountered, and that
includes some lulus.
Any help, however farfetched, would be appreciated.
