Friday saw my 3a off to a local bodyshop where it will no doubt languish for what will seem an eternity. I just finally had to bite the bullet and get someone else working on it. Got the car in Marc

I have the TR4A intake manifold and HS6 SU's in my TR3A. The only interference issues I had were that the bulkhead heater nipple on the right hand side would not clear the aft carb fuel bowl. I coul

Really? I have received two pictures, one of H6s and one of HS6s and the HS6s do appear much closer to the inner fender, by maybe 1/2-3/4". And the air filters might be thinner on the HS6 setup too.

I agree with Jack, the total length is almost identical. I just stuck a tape measure on an example of each, and the HS6 setup is actually very slightly shorter, measured across the tops of the flang

The HS bodies are long and the early manifold is short. Conversely, the HS6 is short but the manifold is long. Measuring from the face of the head to the outer face of the carburetor, you get the sam

Why is it that a long manifold with a HS6 carb is suppose to be faster? It's kind of interesting that the early manifold / carburetor system is the same total length as the later manifold / carbureto
