Bob, I can't say as I've ever seen a jack stand with a "flat" bottom. You could cut some plywood and make platforms for the jackstands. As to the rubber bumpers, I just saw them in the latest Harbor

IIRC, Sam's Club had Goodyear brand silver jackstands that had little triangular plates welded to the bottom of the legs. Not so big that they made the stand unstable, but big enough that it didn't
