My comments are below. Always loosen the spark plugs when the engine is cold. Reinstall, you are correct it is best to remove them duing an valve adjustment (makes the engine easier to turn over). U

No kidding. Sigh, gas was about 50c a gallon when I started driving. $5.00 to fill up the 510, and it lasted two weeks (1974). Just took delivery of some batteries for the Electric Vehicle Truck. $5,

Tom, The fill plug is a square sided plug on the side of the gear box. Driver's side for us USA left hand drive cars. I always recommend LOOSENING that plug first (big cresent wrench), THEN removing
