Have you verified the hydraulic pump is getting power? Perhaps you can rebuild the pump if you need to get by for minimum expense. Save up for the air doors. They are well worth the cost. You can get

A word of caution about flex fans as a solution to your cooling problem. I had one for several years on another of my cars. It did pull more air at low speed than the stock fan and thus cool better.
